This is my sample for CC742. Stef is our hostess and she chose balmy blue, night of navy and lemon-lime twist for her color trio. Dessert Option this week is an ocean scene or masculine card.
For my card, I decided to go with the ocean scene. I needed a graduation card for a young man and my thoughts went to him entering the sea of life. I will mention that inside the card.
Started my card by stamping the balmy blue designer paper with balmy blue ink. I used the texture stamp from the Stampin'-Up "sea of textures" set. Then at the bottom of the paper I stamped the seaweed in lemon lime twist ink.
Since I didn't buy the dies for the Stampin'-Up set, I had to use the Seaside set from Reverse Confetti for the octopus. He is stamped in night of navy ink.
The sentiment is from the Stampin-Up set. The netting, seaweed and coral are dies from CottageCutz. I cut the seaweed and coral in lemon-lime twist and the netting in crumb cake (neutral).
To finish off my card, I wrapped some twine, tied a bow and attached the octopus with dimensional adhesive.
That's my sample for this week. Hope you can play along. Stef has given us some great colors for you to create your ocean scenes or maybe even a Father's Day card.

What a fun, undersea scene for your young graduate. I love the idea of entering the sea of life! There is so much going on here, and it is all unified so perfectly in this wonderful scene. Love the depth and dimension!

Entering the sea of life. What an apt description. I love your card, Mary with the sea creatures.
