My 3rd and last card using Lawn Fawn's conversation heart dies. I just couldn't put it away without making one more card.
Die cut solid conversation heart from red glitter card stock. Die cut 2 more from Bazzill Diamond Bling scraps. Die cut XOXO conversation heart from Diamond Bling scrap. Layered together from (top to bottom): XOXO, Red Glitter solid, bling solid and half of bling solid. Tip 1: By only layering the top half of the bottom heart, it laid evenly over my split background. Tip 2: to get the center of the O's to be in the right place, I first inlaid the outside of the O's then put a drop of glue in the middle and inlaid the centers. While the glue was still wet, I removed the outsides of the O's, leaving me with properly centered middles.
Die cut square opening from diamond bling cardstock and again with thin cardstock for dimension. Tip 3: To line both openings up correctly, after doing the top layer, I put the die back in the opening and over the spacer cardstock. I then traced the inside edge of the die. I removed my top layer and die cut as normal.
I took a larger stitched square die left over from another project, adhered the red border and DSP and then layered to the card front. I then layered the entire thing to my card base. Added my focal heart.
Finally, I used a stitched square die cut to make 2 thin black frames, layered them and edged my opening.
Am entering this in this week's CAS challenge - No coloring.
