I have been having a lot of fun playing with the magazine image transfer technique with Acrylic paint as the transfer medium. I did a blog post about my tips (Barbara Gray's video from Clarity Stamps was the most helpful to me) the main tip being to use REALLY thin layers. I have done a bunch from a Marie Claire magazine. I will include the original print and magazine page in my reply on the challenge thread. I have also found it really freeing to realize that I can use pencils to enhance my prints. So, while DH and I are watching British crime drama at night I am also working over prints. This one nainly has white colored pencil and a good old #2 for the graphite shading. I used a Texturz plate for the texture on the print

Great result. I tried this technique last year and it didn’t work well. I will give it another go. Tfs. Happy day

you have done really well with this technique...i admire your experimentation and also how you improve your printing with other mixed media ideas. this is pretty cool, almost ghostly.

I'm still amazed that anybody can achieve a magazine print. I tried several more times beyond my patience limit and then gave up totally. The pencil shading really adds to it.
