I chose the easy route to use some handmade Italian marbled paper that I bought years ago in Florence and have been hoarding. Stamped directly onto it and it took the ink beautifully.

Yours is so like the one I used... except mine is only printed paper. The tactile feel of real marbled paper is lovely. It makes a stunning background for your tree, and I like the way there's the faintest of a resist effect in the foreground adding dimension to the tussock the tree is growing from.

This is breathtaking Sallie! From the colors to the gorgeous paper to the stunning framing. I am not really sure why, but I just love knowing this hand marbled paper is from Florence. It adds to the provenance of this gorgeous card! ~Karen.

This paper is beautiful. When one is a collector of beautiful papers, hoarding just seems so natural. This pretty card was worth the sacrifice of using some of it. You selected a very pretty stamp to use for it too.
