Our Feautured Stamper, kerry2 has an amazing gallery! I just love all her layers and embellishments and stitches. I had this image almost all colored up for Anna's Pond MIX challenge--great challenge because I've never used this stamp! So I went looking through Kerry's gallery for inspiration and found this "Down by the Seaside" card. The pretty shell paper that she used inspired me to get out another stamp that I've never used with koi for the pond. I stamped it a few times and embossed in white. Then I sponged the fish in Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral and the water in Broken China. Splattered with water. Then I sat down at my sewing machine and did some wonky stitching around the edge. Wonky is all I can do. I'm terrible with a sewing machine. Then I layered it all up with some buttons and ribbon. And I couldn't resist using my favorite birthday greeting for these sweet kids playing in the pond. "Remember when you were young and couldn't wait to grow up so you could do whatever you wanted? How's that working out for ya?"

This is absolutely AWESOME. I love the angled banner sentiment, and the beautiful coloring with your scene. Wonky stitching is the BEST. The background is really perfect. Just an all around amazing design.

How fun & so pretty, Jen! Love your scene & fab colors. Funny..most of the things I wanted to do then, don't really appeal to me now, lol. Like climbing trees. I loved to do it, but my Mom would always get mad & make me come down. I don't really care about climbing trees anymore, lol.

This is just fantastic. I love your scene and how you incorporated the fish into your BG. I tell my kids all of the time to grow up slowly. You realize it all too late. ;)
