Since I had two of the three colors, I decided to dive in. I used the inks to ink up the ef, going lightly and love the soft look I got. It's a little more intense in person. I also used my ink pads direct to white paper to make some cardstock in the three colors. You can see how much more intense the colors are when you do that. The pink peony is a bit too strong but that's what I had.
This is also for today's tea party: a card of encouragement for Carlene's sister Heidi, who will be spending some time at Cancer Centers of America in Arizona. The challenge was to use a song as inspiration. I chose to use 'I Believe' by Dwayne Chin-Quee, Michael Franti, Jacob Hemphill and David Bell. I thought it was the perfect song to comfort Heidi: 'I believe for every drop of rain that falls
A flower grows
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night
A candle glows etc.'
I like this song because it is rather open ended as to what you believe in. I believe in nature, my family, my friends and my art.

What a statement ! A lovely and powerful card for it’s intended. As for the CC, seems I recall they encourage everyone to use what they have...you did that well! The combination of large scale leaves is cool. Your art is always evident!

That is one powerful and uplifting song. And sentiment, I like the double way of reading it. You have a fantastic repertoire of word stamps. I also like the contrast between the elaborate stamped feathers and simpler embossed ones.

You chose a fabulous song and you made an incredible card for this song too! This is such a powerful statement and all these wonderful feathers add to that feeling too. ~Karen.
