For Dina's In the Spotlight MIXed media challenge. I also found some of the Brusho-dyed ribbon which was buried on my desk on Monday, and for a recent WT to use white ink, I had been wanting to use the whitewash technique - although here I didn't stamp in white.
Stamped and embossed the image (once only for me). Punched out the portion I wished to spotlight, and coloured the flowers with white pigment ink. When dry, I added colour with distress inks (and Stickles in the centre of the red flower). I did add some SN clear glitter pen to the tall spike on the right. The butterflies are cut from a gel print - so along the Brushos and distress inks, that gives me acrylics as another medium.
Matted onto gold, scored above and below where the binding would be and added it, along with a sentiment.

Super pretty, Sabrina. LOVE that ribbon and the gold framing. Awesome. I am going to have to check out the white wash technique and how to die ribbon with Brushos. TFS your pretty card. Hugz

Oh, what a beautiful card! It feels so happy! I never once thought to dye ribbon or seam binding with brusho powders so thank you for the great inspiration on this! I love the color of this ribbon and how that picks up the gold accents in this card. Your spotlighted flowers are beautiful here. This is a wonderful card for all of the challenges. ~Karen.
