This reminds me of some wonderful memories at the old Lava Lounge in Eugene. Hot dates with hubby, office parties, yummy Thai food and tropical cocktails. Alas it's no more.
This background is now one one of my all time favorites. I experimented with sprinkling Brusho onto the embossing folder, spritzing it and my paper with water, wrapping it with a paper towel to catch any run-off (and there was a little) before cranking. Gotta say I love this! I think the paper is the key, very thick and absorbent. I went running for my lava lamp stamp. I stamped it twice, once on sticker paper and once on a shiny acetate label. Fussy cut them by hand and laid the clear label section over the glass part of the lamp for a more realistic touch. I was able to double color the lamp using distress on the paper and Copics on the acetate. I needed a table so grabbed the first texture scrap piece I could find. I decided to mount this card on a lighter experiment which kept with the colors and theme. The letters were generated with the Scan N Cut Canvas Workshop. They were skinny, but managed to glue them in place.

I'm enthralled with your embossed Brushos background...I think it turned out fantastic...lots of bright, vibrant, and pretty colors! Love corrugated table for your lava lamp, and your letters are fabulously unusual!

My first recollection of a lava lamp was in my dentist's office as a child. What a great card to blast to the past !!
