I really enjoy the EOINA each month, thank you Technique Challenge hostesses. I've actually been working on this one for a few weeks now. And that is one of the things that is fun with the watercolor powders...you can always lay another color. The man in the moon theme had been on my mind for quite awhile. So I used a piece of my BEST watercolor paper to build the night sky. Could I repeat this? Absolutely not! But it sure was fun creating. Instead of rolling over the wet powder to remove color, I 'sopped' up the lower area. This actually made it seem like my MOON man was grounded. He was stamped first and then I cut a mask of him to protect him while I created the background.
The stars were die cut. I used various Dew Drop inks to bring some color in the night sky. I also used an embossing folder along the bottom edge to represent grass. And then stapled the corners. With the heavier watercolor paper, the staples add a security as well as bit of funkiness.
Thanks for stopping by. I can't wait to see where the powders took everyone this week!

VERY cool sky, Susan. This bg is really amazing and how cool it brewed for awhile. The man in the moon is really fun, but the sentiment is over the moon cool (and very sweet). Fun card! Hugz

I have that stamp!!!!!!! have I used him? Nope, don't think so. Why? I have no idea. Did I buy him because of you? I'm guessing yes. Pure One4Joy going on here. Love it all!

Wow amazing WC BG! Nice to read that others can take a while to develop a card idea!! Sometimes it takes me a week or more. The stars are great and love the sentiment and the way you colored it.

My vision of the MITM will never be the same. I love it all. You have opened my eyes to a whole new concept of this mysterious fellow. Not quite sure how you did the stars. Stenciled? Stamped? Adhered? However you did it, Mr Moon has a fantastic view. OK. I just got a 2nd cup of coffee and see you die cut those babies. Awesome!.

I really like the way so much of the different colours have burst out in the bottom part, even with the mopping it up with paper. The staples are such a part of this - they look fab, and your man in the moon is quite amazing. DH gave me that die for part of my birthday present, looking forward to using it.
