I've always have fun with that credit card swiping technique and I had seen it recently on a card that Karen (k dunbrook) did where she used Distress Oxides. This was fun and I love how the DOs layer so well...you can just keep adding ink on top of ink and it doesn't get muddy. After I did the swiping bit I added a bit of stamping with a tiny script stamp and also used a dotted stencil to add more color. I then sponged the birds using a new stencil I got last week (I must have read Lisa's mind)...That's about it. I really like how it turned out.

Really neat card, Polly. Love the colors and how vibrant they stay with numerous layers. I need to try those inks to avoid always getting the muddy look. The bird stencil just pops...love it. TFS

When I read this challenge, you immediately came to mind since you are a master with creating collage style cards using stencils....among many other elements. This is lovely.

That sounds interesting, I haven't tried swiping with ink that I remember, just paint. Such a lovely summer garden feel you have here full of sunshine and light - and since I can see a little blue sky and hear the birds singing outside, it all works together.
