My youngest has (thrillingly for me) discovered the joys of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas and his favourite character is Harlequin Demon. I found a pattern online to cut him out, which went better than I'd expected as I'm not great at it and I even managed to glue and tape all those tiny tabs together so it's pretty sturdy.
As it's quite deep, I thought I might make another book card but knew I'd have to make it from scratch this time. I got a gift card recently and the holder it came in closed with two sets of magnets. I've used one set here to hold the front of the book together. That book was more measuring, cutting and precision gluing - I was very glad when it was done!
I downloaded some printable papers and used one on the cover and one inside, behind Demon. Then I printed some text in a font similar to the film's one and tore the edges and did some messy inking before sticking the pieces on.
Some Tim Holtz Halloween dies and doodling with a white pen to finish. It's a forgiving card - Halloween things look better if they're not too perfect. Well, that's my excuse!

Very impressive. Magnets are always worth rescuing! The front cover us fabulous. I'm not qualified to give an opinion on the Harlequin Demon but he certainly looks great - and like a lot of work.
