The MIX challenge was to use a piece of junk mail for inspiration. The flyer is from a local art store I had kept, so this challenge was perfect to try. I cut a tall triangle shape in a piece of cardstock, placed it on the c.s., then stamped versamark in that space and poured on e.p's, one area at a time. I used stamps from Waterfront in peacock feathers beside the cactus. I got this on my base with a lot of space at the top. Oh well! I had fun trying this. tfl

Fantastic work with the embossing powders to create a wonderful western scene. I especially love that red embossing powder. Your junk mail certainly inspired you. I like the extra space at the top - mountain scenes do have wide open spaces.

Shirl, this is just amazing- and so artistic! I am really impressed with your frantage mountains and how you created them. I really love the cacti you added in here too. I will be looking at my junk mail in an entirely different fashion from now on. I am super impressed with this card Shirl. ~Karen.
