I have a few backgrounds I created with the oxidized shaving cream technique. Some of them turned out very dark and I didn't like them much, but with Sabrina's challenge today I think I know how to salvage them. The bokeh technique has brightened this one up to where I am quite happy with it now. I used one stencil and then just punched holes with circle punches to make three different sizes to sponge over.

What an inspired way to redeem an unloved background. It might have been too dark originally but it now has a lovely light, joyous feel. Perfect for a birthday celebration.

This is definitely a keeper now . . . from trash to treasure with some well placed bubbles of softly sponge white.
