Just returned from vacation that culminated in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. The trees are budding out and the dogwood and redbud are coloring the woods. Tried to capture a bit of the magic. Sponged in the mountains and foreground, used distress crayons to capture a sunset. I used a few stampscape stamps for the trees and foreground and topped it off with the dogwood branch from PP.

Oh! My husband would love this! The Smokeys are his favorite place! He is always telling me that my card would look better if I put faded out mountains in them. LOL Sometimes I am making a card about candy, but he still says... I need smokey gray mountains! Your Dogwood branch is lovely! I definitely see how your vacation inspired this!

That must be a pretty sight. I've never seen the Smokey Mountains in the spring - only fall. But, we have a lane close by that is lined by redbuds. I love them in bloom. Wonderful rendering!

How pretty! I love the scenic background & the flowers on top. It's been a while since I visited the Smoky Mtns in TN, but they are beautiful. I live in the tail end of the Blue Ridge Mtns (the Smokies are part of the same mtn chain).
