A stay~cation, arm chair dreaming...it's that time of year when the catalogs arrive by the boatloads...and I simply couldn't resist this photo (ripped from the booklet)
My card was made for two challenges: VSN From Here to There, APR19VSNA berlycece (Kim) advised us to get some advice before traveling. And JBgreendawn (Stacy) suggested we have a look around the Nature Fine Art Photo site to be inspired at the Inspiration Challenge.
I was inspired by Malibu beach pier. Can't you just feel the breeze stirring those palms? I simply cropped the page, fussy cut the tall palm, mounted the image at an angle, stapled, and washered it on cardstock.
And stamped the Napoleon quote...a picture is worth more than a thousand words. This picture makes my heart so happy...cause I can close my eyes and feel the sand under my feet, the warmth of the sun on my shoulders, the sound of the waves lapping the shore and the smell of the beach.
I'd love to hear about your favorite beach...
Thank you for your comments.

I want to be there. I really like the awesome page you used. It all looks so warm with the sun beaming down. My favorite beach has snow white sand that hurts your eyes if you don't wear sunglasses. I love the smell and the sound of waves lapping ashore. Palms are beautiful, too. I love to go walking at night and hear the ocean. I am talking about Orange Beach, AL Plus, close by is a super scrapbook store in Foley, AL

Love this scene! Reminds me of Isle of Palms SC and a couple of trips we took there. Though truth be told I grew up just up the street from Kew Beach, Toronto, on Lake Ontario and I think the smell and the feel of the sand there is in my blood. Beautiful card and thank you for the memories it is evoking!

What a marvelous card from a recycled magazine page!!! You certainly had the perfect stamp to go with it. I'll admit that I missed the washer at first look because the photo itself is so compelling but is sits in wait their like a life preserver if needed.

Not very commercialized and only a few condos - you can actually lay on the beach and not see anyone for 30 minutes (sometimes).
Sitting on a porch with a book with a gentle breeze, waves crashing, birds swooping, children laughing - that is my fave.
Pretty card, hugz!

I can't blame you for wanting to use this photo image on a card, Susan. I can almost hear the beach calling my name! Love the yellow tones from the sun~
