When I was in college in the early 70's, the Disney movie 'Fantasia' was released. I'm not even sure that I'd heard of it at that time but I was blown away by it. It was pretty much of a flop the first time it was released; people just didn't get it.
My favorite segment is Symphony No. 6 by Beethoven. It is the 'Pastoral' and has all sorts of mythical creatures, done in an art deco style. My card features Pegasus, which is my favorite part of the movie.
I found an image online and traced it on watercolor paper. I used the shimmery watercolors to create a dreamy look. I found this quote online and just happened to have the Walt Disney font.
Right at this moment I'm reading a book about the 'nine old men', the original major animators at Disney. Disney called them that because President Roosevelt called the Supreme Court the 'nine old men.' Roosevelt didn't like them. But Walt did like his nine old men.

Good you could trace your image and the shimmer watercolors look great. I like the border a lot. Sounds like a very interesting book you're reading.

This is beautiful! I love the sparkle on the edges! Gorgeous watercolor and that's a great sentiment! I have never seen all of Fantasia but I would like to. I was very sick a few years ago and watched it. I remember it was soothing. Funny, I can't remember what I was sick with. I only get majorly sick once every 5 years or so, it had to either be my bout with intense vertigo or the flu. I just remember enjoying having my mind off feeling so terrible as I dozed in and out!

I knew Fantastia would be your fav. Ha, ha, mine too! Your card is FANtastic. Your Pegasus looks like it was felted, so much depth and texture. And as others have said, the border is gorgeous. I love the randomness of the sparkles. Of course, we'd expect nothing less than the Uncle Walt font. Awesome.
Wonder what the wonderful world of Disney would be if the nine were timeless and still animating? I am an old skooler.
Thanks for pointing us to a good read.
