This was a very fulfilling challenge today, Judy! Even if I didn't make a dent, not a midge in my 'saved' paper scraps. See that super skinny strip? It had been under my glass mat forever just waiting for 'the moment' which sparked my use of the PSX 'Pixie Affirmation' Treasure the Moment. The strip was left from a mixed media paper I had created last fall. Not valuable in the worlds thinking, but my first attempt. Literally the finishing touch to this card.
But I began with my Banksy 'Rain under umbrella Girl'. The Hexagon Gallery here describes how the original came to be. We've had a Pineapple Express last 10 days of rain. It is now causing slides and closures in our valley. I know these April showers will bring LOADS of May flowers, but good grief...
I stamped the image on Mixed Media paper, embossed with Clear EP. made a mask of her upper body and then squirted with water and sprinkle Brushos over the top. After that, I misted with the Perfect Pearls/Tattered Angels Shimmer Mist. She was fussy cut.
The Patterned Paper Strips (Memory Box scraps) were selected to reflect the stormy weather abating and the flowers coming out. I tore, punched, scissored, distressed, and cut all the papers to give them some texture.
The PSX 'Pixie Affirmations' set was a gift from our tessaduck. The Treasure the moment seemed like the perfect sentiment for today. Life's short...must wring out every moment...
Thanks for stopping by.

When I saw this recent upload, I knew it was yours and brought an instant smile like finding one of your creations in the gallery always does for me. I love this one. Hope you are getting a little relief in the rain and less of the mudslides.

I really like your selection of papers to represent the weather. Hmm, I think your Memory Box one looks as if it might have been from the same collection as my sky. Very effective with the vertical strips.
Dinner was a vegetarian stir-fry with noodles. I always make it twice because I only need half a tin of water-chestnuts, and half a zucchini each time.

You just blow me away, mf!! Love the image, and those strips were so well worth saving. Made me chuckle......not for the rain you (or I) are having, but the image, so Banksy!!! Favd, of course.

Love, love, love this! Great vertical take on the challenge! I love the feeling it evokes! And I love you little story about the skinny strip of paper. It is the kind of find I would have on my desk! Wonderful art!
