Inspired by all the colors in today's Tesalate website, I followed Jennifer McGuire's Vellum Monoprint video and used a MISTI for the multiple stamping of small images. Only 2 of the 3 backgrounds this was supposed to make turned out and it took a lot of time. I think I prefer one at a time old fashioned stamping to this newer method. This is the cardstock, not the vellum BG. I Stamped the flower and face with India Ink pad and it bled on the white fabric, but it didn't bother me, too much. I put some Gelatos onto a craft sheet, dipped a brush into Golden's GAC, a clear medium used for fabric painting, picked up the pigment and colored the image. I ironed Wonder Under fabric stabilizer and adhesive to the back side of the fabric and used the Scan N Cut machine to cut it out. Ironed the "patch" onto the BG. I liked how the BG showed through. Mounted it on a pretty pink card. The inside reads "In the garden of life, You are the rarest of flowers".

I bet this took a while but it turned out so pretty. I really like your flower face and all those lovely flowers in the background. Looks like spring has sprung.

I have not messed around with trying to do multiple stamps on a Misti much, most of mine are wood mounted but, I do like the colors you picked for this background and its fun to see the face in the petals too.
Beautiful! Your bg turned out really well! I had an ink bleed on one of my fabric panels several years ago, and I agree with you, it gives kind of a cool look! I love your sunshine! You created a very cool card!

I had to go check out the vellum monoprint video to see what you were referring to . . . . a lot of work indeed especially if they don't all turn out to be usable. I am intrigued by your stamping on fabric as that is something else I had never seen. This was a labor intensive card but I think worth it when it's meant for your rarest flower of a friend.

your rare flower is enchanting...amid those '60's something symbols. Kuddos to you for attempting the vellum...from where I sit, it's the old fashioned creating that shines bright! So thanks for attempting this...and saving my stuff from that circular file!

Sounds like you had quite the experimental time with this card. Exploring different media and techniques is fascinating, isn't it? And at the end you have a very cool card and I'm sure learned a lot for future creative time.
