This anniversary/wedding card was made as a Design Team inspiration for Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #408 (https://TryStampinOnTuesday.blogspot.com)
The technique of using tulle as a see-through shaker window to the inside of the card was inspired by Rachel Tessman's Climbing Orchid Tulle Shaker card at: https://stampyourartout.com/2019/04/...le-shaker.html. Rachel has a step-by-step tutorial. Please note that this card is not for the faint of heart!!! If you make a mistake in the order you create your card, it can double the work to recover. So be very careful that you follow Rachel's instructions carefully. I ended up spending an hour and a half creating the card, but part of that was because I was piecing the box and strip behind the oval.
The oval frame was cut from Stampin' Up! (SU) Whisper White cardstock. The boxes were SU Melon Mambo and Rose Red cardstock. The pattern paper was from a Recollections (Michael's) Valentine Paper Pad.
The pink tulle was a piece that was wrapped around the bouquet my husband gave me for Valentine's Day. I chose the pattern paper to complement the tulle.
This project requires LOTS of Scor-Tape. It's important that you use a very strong tape to hold the two layers of tulle in place.
The flowers and sentiment were stamped using the SU "Beautiful Bouquet" set. SU Melon Mambo ink was used for both. To create the different shades of flowers, I stamped off on a scrap piece of paper. The leaves in the flower arrangement were stamped with SU Tranquil Tide ink.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "4" out of a possible "5". This is due to the precise order needed to construct the card, and the precise measuring required.
Thank you Rachel for your great tutorial! It makes for a very distinctive card!
