My DH's boss is retiring today and he asked me to make a card for the occasion. I took the opportunity to try a couple of Jennifer McGuire card ideas. Here is a link to her video for this card:
First I made an alcohol ink panel using red and blue inks. I asked DH was his boss's favorite color is and he thought it was purple. I don't have purple ink, thus the red and blue alcohol ink.
After creating the panel, I stamped it with the floral spray from Kind Soul using the alcohol lift ink and then lifted to reveal the floral spray.
I die cut four of the word die and layered them, I also popped the panels up on craft foam. I stamped the "so happy for you" in blackberry bliss on the card base.
This was fun to make and my first time playing with the alcohol lift ink. Thanks for looking!

This is so gorgeous Catherine. I have not tried this technique yet, but am hoping to do so soon. You achieved stunning results with this. It is no wonder hubby cannot choose which card to give his boss. How fun! ~Karen.
