I'm joining this week's Teapot Party, where we are making and sending cards to Recil Troxil, a WWII vet soon to celebrate his 93rd birthday! Recil loves to get mail, so the idea is to flood his mailbox with loads of cards bearing birthday wishes.
I used this stamp because the pickup load of apples reminds me of my grandfather, who courted my young grandmother in the town of Hood River, Oregon, right on the edge of Oregon's largest area of apple orchards. My stoic, quiet grandad became smitten with the sassy girl with black hair and dark brown eyes, and they were married over 60 years.
Thanks for the great challenge, Jen!

Lovely story, lovely card. The colours work perfectly for your beautiful image - although I admit that for eating I think I prefer green apples. Red are prettier, though.
