Well, April Fool's day played a joke on me! I tried so hard to get this card made Sunday night to celebrate our Featured Stamper as well as enter this in the Fan Club Christmas Challenge. However, it just would not come together for me and I finally had to quit. After consulting with my "artist in residence" this morning, I decided to make a few changes to my original plan and now I am happy with how it turned out.
Congratulations to proudarmymomof2 for being this week's Featured Stamper! I had lots of fun checking out your gallery. THIS card sparked my imagination! I love the hills in the bg. In my first attempt at this card, I actually masked snow drifts but I guess my image is too long because it looked like the balloon basket was sitting on the snow instead of flying in the air!
This is also for the April Fan Club Christmas Challenge and I think I was kind of clever with how my card fits the challenge. If you are curious stop by the challenge. I will mention how my card fits when I link it!
I used a Prickley Pear Rubber stamp for the image then checked to see if it's still a current stamp in the store. It is and it's half off right now! The sentiment is from a long ago prize I won from The Cat's Pajama's.
TFL and I hope you will play along with this month's Christmas Challenge!

Angie, this is delightful! Super fun image, love the snow, and your design is perfect. Sometimes letting something sit for awhile and bringing in in-house consultants ends up making a card even more special. Love it! Hugz

Purrrfect! Love the billowy clouds, so pretty! The snow falling down is excellent. What a cute kitten in a hot air balloon. Love the sentiment to go with it. Well done, Angie!
