My take on the acrylic block technique for todayâs TLC challenge. Iâm not super happy with the how the background turned out because itâs a little darker than I expected. In the past this technique always turned out too light but I used a newer SU firm foam pad which gave great coverage. So next time Iâll use a lighter color. But since I already tried a few times with DOx pads which looks worse to me, I just went with this one on the card. I used primary colors for the gears in order to keep it masculine. But I hope the red & green isnât too Christmas-y. It is what it is. Iâll let it be for a day or two, & revise if I am still not pleased. Sometimes itâs more a matter of not turning out as expected & a day wait makes it better. ;) Have a great day!

I don't think it's Christmassy at all, I see the primary colours. I'm sure you'll like it when you look at it again tomorrow with less judgmental eyes. It's a great guy card.

I personally think the dark bg works very well. It provides a great contract to your car image and the colorful gears. Sure to please the car enthusiast.

Wow, so perfectly masculine. Those are the hardest for me to come up with ideas for. This one is great.
