I'd cut this flower from an old book hoping to use it on my MIX card on Friday, but it didn't work it. It's quite big, and being cut from paper, not very robust so I thought I'd used them up before they got torn. I spritzed one of them with Brusho acrylic mist (lemon) and let it dry. Then I creased all the lines in it and layered it on top of the plain one.
The centre is an oval punched out and covered with Glossy Accents, prills and coarse glitter, and I went round the edge of it with Stickles.
The leaves were freehanded from the back of a gel print, and detailed with a gold pen (I added some to the flower petals too).
I've had the Mixed Media dies on my desk to remind me to use them - so I did just that. It looked a bit bare, so I embossed it with the pinewood planks ef and added some luster rub-ons. The scraps of ribbon were on my desk from the morning, so I tucked them in, and finished off by adding a couple of ladybirds - the wings are cut from red glitter card.

This is sooo gorgeous....a big burst of happiness in a card. I love your choice of colors. This just makes me feel happy. The wood ef bg is such a terrific choice. Each morning I do a little 5 minute meditation ending with what I am grateful for.....today I am grateful for all the beauty, both man made and in nature, that surrounds me. Your card is perfect because it is "woman made" and celebrates the splendor of nature. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent, Sabrina. Sending hugs your way.

My heart is going pitter patter right now it is so happy with this big bold yellow bloom and these dainty lady bugs! I never ever think to use book paper to stamp on or die cut from and it looks absolutely amazing on this big flower. The lovely intricate corner die and the wonderful embossing in the bg set an incredible stage for your gorgeous bloom and friendly "bugs." ~Karen.

This is so cool! I love using old books but always worry I'll accidentially have included something rude from the text! Had a quick look, yours is fine !!
