My favorite show is Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. The show began in 1954 and has run, with some interruptions, since then in different formats. It began as a way for Disney to promote Disneyland and was called Walt Disney's Disneyland. Believe it or not, two networks turned Disney down before ABC took it on. By the time I started watching, it had been renamed to the first title I mentioned. In 1959, it was finally broadcast in color, although many households still had black and white. Here is a link to a youtube video of the first color broadcast:
I was inspired by a graphic at the beginning, which is a sort of a kaleidoscope in red and purple. I made several backgrounds with alcohol inks on Yupo, blowing the ink with a straw to create sort of a starburst. I cut them with different sizes of star dies, along with some silver mirror cs, punched a hole close to the centers of each, layered them and attached with a brad. The whole thing can spin and you can change each star multiple ways. I didn't center it on purpose so that adds to the fun ways it can look. I printed a fairy silhouette, darkened it with black ink, added WoS and placed her on the top right. You have to have a fairy, Tinkerbelle always started the show. The sentiment in the center says 'There is Magic in the Air...'
That's why I loved this show: all the magic that happened. I learned about Disneyland, fell in love with Fess Parker as Davy Crockett, met crazy Professor Ludwig von Drake (Donald Duck's uncle) and so much more. It was a regular Sunday night treat for us, along with popcorn popped on the stove and Coca Cola. We were lucky, my Dad was crazy about new technology so we had a color TV early on. But if you saw it in b and w, you had to use your imagination. And boy, did we!!!!!

Oh my goodness, thanks for the wonderful memories! My family also watched this show every Sunday night with popcorn popped in my mom's old dented kettle : )
Your creative starburst is gorgeous!
