It's time for a new Color Challenge! Barbara is hosting this week and she has chosen Powder Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Early Espresso for her colors, with a dessert option of using Designer Series Paper. I was so excited to use my new peony background stamp that I totally overlooked dessert, but hey, with a background stamp I kind of made my own dsp!
I used Copic markers in colors similar to the SU colors. I was inspired to create a dark background both by this week's colors and by our own Lydia Fiedler, who had a recent post where she used a black Copic marker in the background of her gorgeous floral sprays. I encourage you to visit her blog via this link to that blog post.
After the coloring was complete, the die cut sentiment was adhered to the vellum banner, then the panel was popped up with foam tape on a white card base. I did add a small number of iridescent jewels but they are a bit difficult to see in this photo.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you'll join the Color Challenge this week! A few more details are available on my blog.

At first I thought, what do you mean you forgot dessert - your whole card is DSP! I was sure this as designer series paper. You did a flawless job with this pretty piece!
