This card is for the Alpha challenge...A. I chose A for Aviary.
It didnât start out the way it finished. The BG was stamped using a large BG word stamp out of the SOA box.
I die cut a window out of my CP SOA box which ended up being too big for my card front even after cutting it down to look like a cage, so I ditched that and started looking for some other aviary die cuts in my stash. After spending way too long searching, gave up and resorted to a rub-on.
Birds stamped and die cut. Hearts stamped and die cut. Sentiment stamped. All going good until I noticed that one of the hearts had bled onto the cardstock after Iâd added wink of Stella. Iâd also sponged the edges and somehow black ink had found its way onto the cage and even more on the cardstock....oopsie.
Itâs at this point that I decide to fussy cut the cage out and start again, this time taking extra care with my inky hands. Birds and hearts added again.
No wonder it takes me so long to do a challenge lol.
Onto B....
TFL. Happy day

Welcome Jayne! Great perseverance on making this card! I can so relate to what happened with the ink smudges and bleeding. I start out making a card that should take an hour or two and the next thing you know it's 4 hours later! LOL Anyway, your card is gorgeous and I love the colors you chose!

Some days are just like that....In the end, you have a wonderful anniversary card with a male and female bird outside the cage (which I like cause it represents freedom). The little hearts are perfect showing their love for one another and script is always a good choice for a bg for this occasion~

I always love using 2 birds on an anniversary card. This one id very cool, both of them taking care of their sanctuary. I love the glimmer on the birds and hearts.

What a sweet anniversary card with these wonderful love birds and all the hearts. It almost seems as if some cards do not want to be made, but in the end, they can be some of our best cards if we are willing to persevere, which you did! Welcome to the alphabet challenges- they ae a lot of fun! ~Karen.
