I needed to do a card for my eldest daughters birthday, she is turning 45 (where has the time gone?) and she loves red and black so it just all fell together.
I didn't have a Peaonia image so went with Rhododendron instead...close enough.
The card itself is simple enough. I came across some vitamin packets I had saved because I liked the high red gloss with a slight leaf pattern so decided to build the card around that.
The heat embossed image and greeting is done in the sea foam white which is more of a dirty white, not quite cream but not that bright vivid white either.
I touched up the petals with acrylic pearl white and the leaves with a mixture of pine green and silver...and that's all folks other than to slap it all together. Oh I did mount the image and greeting on some black craft foam.
Thanks for looking cheers Marg

Marg, your card is not only beautiful, but I like the idea that you chose something related to your own country. The black/red/white is distinctive and elegant.

The white embossed flower and sentiment on red are so gorgeous, while the subtle background texture is equally interesting with the black corrugated panel as well as the strip of black flocked dsp! Such a beautiful card Marg, great to have you back!
