MariLynn is this week's hostess for the MIX challenge and she's asking for some POP.
My pop is on the inside, where I added some holly, ivy and mistletoe for a nearly-full house of Christmas greenery. The front, believe it or not, started out as a St. Patrick's Day card on Wednesday. But I was a bit heavy-handed with either the Brushos or the glass bead gel (probably both), and it looked awful. I had sprinkled Brushos on the card, laid the stencil on top and then added the glass bead gel, which normally works well for me but not this week. Problem - it had a big Irish blessing filling up the centre of the card. Answer the poinsettia was sitting on my desk (cut from red card, rubbed with luster rub-ons). I figured out that with some very, very careful positioning of it, and the addition of some leaves (cut from the last remaining scrap of some tissue paper watercolour I made for die-cutting angels last Christmas), I could cover up all the verse. So I spritzed the whole piece with various mists, and edged it with yellow Stickles to pick up on the yellow misting. I wasn't feeling energetic enough to try arranging gold cord or twine prettily, so I substituted some swirly scribbles cut from gold card.
This morning, to make it up into a card that I could fit some "pop" into, I embossed some black card and went over it with a metallic distress crayon. I added a little LOTV seasonal tag on the front, and when I couldn't fit the second one I'd stamped and cut out, I added that onto my spiral pop-up inside .
Thanks for a fun challenge, MariLynn.

Great rescue job Sabrina, you’d never know this started life as a “fail” of any kind! Love the rich green of the background and the elegant embossed texture of the poinsettia beautifully picked out by the rub-on. Lovely to have the little extras inside too!

This card never wanted to be a St Patricks card anyway. I am glad you listened to it and made it a Christmas card. I was thinking that the black and green background had a great texture. I like how you added the gold. Thanks for sharing about "fizzy drinks" I don't think I have ever heard them called that but if they are good they are fizzy. Sometimes because we live out in the country the drinks loose some of the fizz and are sometimes not much more than sugar water. Kinda reminds me when Jesus talked about salt loosing it's saltiness how it is worthless. That is how I feel about non fizzy but supposed to be fizzy drinks. I hope you have a blessed day. Thanks for playing along with my challenge.
