At first glance you might not think that this is a mixed media card. But to qualify as mixed media for the Splitcoast challenges you need at least 3 different art mediums. I did ink, embossing powder, markers and colored pencils, and an ink pen. As well as plastic embellishments so I technically used 6. You might say if that is all it takes, I am already doing mixed media as a regular card maker. My answer to that is YES, you are. I combined two different pop up techniques on my card. One is the pop out explosion and the other is to make a simple pop up mechanism to put behind a fussy cut or die cut image. I made this card to send to a young boy who is dealing with cancer. I was told by my son in law, (a friend of the boy's mom) that the young man loves opening cards. If you would like to send him a card private message me and I will get you his details.

I always liked that MFP frog - he looks great here in those colours. And with the googlie eyes.
Unless the mother wants the address kept private, you could think of suggesting this young man for a Teapot Tuesday tea-party? Or maybe have us send the cards to you - I think we did that once before for someone.
