Dug out an old stamp. Stamped and masked it, then did the bg with a brayer. Removed the mask and watercolored the image. Scratched with an X-acto blade to create some glisten spots on the water.

Your watercoloring is as gorgeous as ever, Sallie, but I was intrigued by how you scratched the waves with an exact knife! A masterpiece worthy of framing!

*lifts jaw off the floor* ... your card jumped out of the gallery today, it's absolutely fabulous. The stamp is awesome, and the colours just wonderful, as is the stitched frame.

Sally, this card is gorgeous, and your colouring is exquisite. Such a beautiful waterlily stamp. When we have so many great old stamps, why do we always feel we want more?
