I am SO tired of needing to go to bed after work and taking three days to make a card. Today I have a day off, and last night I decided I wanted to sit at my desk and just make something. OK, so I did the cling-wrap background last night (Brushos, Brusho silver acrylic mist, spray starch on plain white card) last night, but I didn't know what I was going to do with it, just that it would be ready.
So, while the piano tuner tuned my piano and Windows update did its huge massive update, I got messy and had fun.
I embossed the base with a Crafter's Companion star ef. I tried foiling some stars but it didn't work (they're hidden under the clouds), so instead I just added gold, silver and SN clear glitter to some of them.
The rainbow is SU's Rainbow Builder die, cut from card with double-sided adhesive, and then burnished with gilding flakes.
The clouds are also SU's Rainbow Builder, also cut from card with double-sided adhesive, and I used Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels (glacier ice). Wow, they looked so different when I used them in texture paste last Friday.
The bird is cut from a scrap of DOX on glossy photo paper, and has a little pen and pencil detail added, and dimension with foam tape. (The front two layers of clouds are also on foam).
The castle is Tim Holtz's Metropolis, cut from white card, I embossed them with an old Cuttlebug ef, might be mosaic, and then buffed them with some Craft-T rub-ons; there's Cosmic Shimmer Patina for the "copper" dome. The gold overlays are cut from one of my tomato paste tubes. The back layer is stuck straight to the sky, the upper layer was backed with double-sided adhesive so that I could sprinkle glitter in all the windows, and then popped up on foam. I made this to send to someone particular, but I think I'll keep it on my (newly-tuned ) piano for a week or so first.

I have been enjoying looking at this gorgeous card all week, so I went back to see th e details on how you made it. All the little additions are amazing, especially the tiny sparkling windows and the different popped up layers. The tourquois and gold dome is so lovely, and that metallic rainbow is just fabulous. O oooh this is a masterpiece.
