Hereâs the story. Just read the recipe if youâd like to skip this looong story.
This is the 2nd card that I made this morning. Last night, DH asked me to make a âCivil Warâ card for his dear friend who we were seeing today for lunch. Apparently DHâs friend is a big CW buff. Civil war stamps- Are u kiddinâ Me?! I didnât have anything that fit that description, no cannon, old riffles etc. - patriotic maybe but not Civil War. Given more time, Iâm sure Iâd have found something to purchase but not with such little notice. I did tell DH this...I wouldnât want to miss any future shopping opportunities especially if I can claim I needed to buy it for his friend.
Anyway...I created this card instead.
This friend is a big traveler so I thought it was appropriate. Iâve always loved this now retired DSP (but I do love almost all of them-LOL) so I jumped on the chance to use some stash.
I used the sketch from a few weeks ago (SC736) but later realized I cut the paper at the opposite angle. But I went with it.
Whew...I hope you like it & didnât mind my long story.
