For this teapot challenge we asked to "create a scene". I was trying to tidy up my work space (the dining table) and wondering what I could do to make a nice card to send to Tonda Baldwin when I came across the three little gumnuts - hiding in the scraps of water colour paper. They looked so lonely - so I couldn't leave them in the scrap pile. I had been playing around with a die cut frame and some water colour paper to create a background and thought these three cuties would look nice posed under the trees. I added a Big Hugs sentiment and framed the card with matching colours.
The gumnut babies were hard to photograph (he he) - as you can see - they are all looking so surprised by the flash of the camera - well that is my story and I am sticking to it.
I will get this in the mail tomorrow to Tonda - I hope the mail system delivers quickly - but doubt that will happen as most of my cards to the US, Canada and even France are taking about six weeks to arrive.
Never the less - I hope you enjoy.

You just couldn't leave those lonely gumnuts on your table....I'm sure they will be happy when they get to Tonda's house. I love the framing with that amazing die cut. Fab card Helen!

I love that you are sharing May Gibbs gumnut babies with the world Helen. I loved your story and how you created this perfect home for the little ones. Tonda is sure to love this...and I expect our cards will arrive at the same time. I think that "slow boat to China" might be a reality!

After I spotted this yesterday I went and looked them up, which I hadn't got round to after your first card. So interesting - and how great that her work still benefits charities! Laughing at the big eyes from the camera flash - at least your anti-redeye works, LOL.
