I've combined today's Tea Party with Ky's "Draw a Line" MIX challenge and I'm all caught up with the challenges again! Ky challenged us to draw a line (see my ocean made up of lines of blue glitter marker) and bonus points if it is all about the beach. Which is why I've chosen to make a beach scene Easel Card for our tea party. The beach scene was easy to make with a simple cloudy sky background followed by a bunch of lines to make the ocean and some die cut glitter paper for the sand. I had originally stamped "Warm Wishes" in the sky, but I din't like the way it looked, so I covered it up with two ScanNCut clouds and a handwritten sentiment. I colored and fussy cut the beach babes because my ScanNCut just couldn't see them well enough to cut them. I could have figured it out, but by then I might as well have fussy cut them. I cut a strip to attach them to the top of the easel so they stand up on the beach. And when I was digging through my scrap drawer to come up with this gold glitter paper, I happened to pull out this copper glittery star and thought isn't this perfect for the beach babes!

I want to be one of those babes on the beach..they look like they're having a great time! Your lines using the glitter marker for the ocean are so clever. The gold glitter paper for the beach is another fun element. Awesome card for Tonda.

I saw your card this morning and I started chuckling, then laughing and I had to forget commenting. Ha! This is quite simply- wonderful and I know it will truly delight Tonda too. Your coloring and shading of this scene have truly brought it to life in the most delightful way! ~Karen.
