ME!!! But you know, today's Inspiration Challenge suggested by Polly (peeps321) took me back to days I have only imagined through movies and coffee table books. Back to the days of my mother and aunties in photographs. Glamour days!
To honor this luscious collection, I wanted to be a maker. A seamstress. That meant bringing out the Stampers Anonymous mannequin. It was stamped on mixed media paper in the Memento Luxe and embossed with the Mixed Media 'Lime' ep. I fussy cut leaving a bit of white edge to make it pop against the brown. It took some time to figure out how to use that '60's pattern fancy art paper. Rather than cutting it off at the top, I just had it go down the back. I do love that curvy pattern!
The sentiment, by F Baldwin is a B Line Designs stamp. I cut it apart to make it more...
Dressmakers always have pins and tapes and random threads. I added the clock brad, safety pin, and three snippets of gold, tan, black, and orange.
Thanks so much for your comments. And to our Challenge designer and hostess...what a marvelous uplifting site. So, so much there to go back and explore...I mean Mary Quant is opening there next month!!!!

Fabulous collage of seamstress items. I love the timepiece and just perfect with the sentiment. The lime embossing on the mannequin is just the right thing to use. Awesome creation.

Oh yes I knew the fashion portion of this site would appeal to certain of us ...we know who we are ;) That lime green ep is a knockout on the dressform and the swirly side border done in those colors is FAB (actually the colors remind me of Mary Quant and the 60s). The saying is great (hooray for ebay) and your timepiece accent is spot on. Glad you had fun today!

Susan, this is so cool! I love the mannequin in lime, the time piece, and that perfect sentiment. I watched the video on the first house model - she was so pretty! Great find and great card. Hugz

Susan, this is a fabulous card that features the elements of a seamstress! The mannequin with the timepiece and adjacent threads, cords, trim, etc. is fantastic. I love the colors and shape of the fancy art paper. Wonderful piece of art, Susan!

This is wonderful, Susan! I love your dressmaker form..I have 2 that I keep "dressed" w/ vintage clothes. And what a terrific greeting. There are a few things I wish time would leave be, though.
