After seeing some of Susie's (susie australia) latest cards using the foil bg with ink I just had to try it...so basically this is a CASE of her technique. Thank you Susie for your tips and inspiration. It's really fun and turned out pretty well. I used that foil plumbers tape and scrunched it up before I removed the backing. Then I applied alcohol inks and spread that out. I blasted it with my heat gun to dry. The image is a RAK from Sue (sue28 ). Thanks!

Ooh, I love all the greens, a wonderful backdrop for your cute mermaid. I've tried inks on foil before but not with the scrunching, and that really gives a great look, I'll have to try it. And like Susie, you're a dab hand with the Liquid Pearls .

Oh, Polly, you did a wonderful job of using Susie's technique and showcasing Sue's fantastic image. The card is striking with the image, colored foil tape, and green glitter background paper.

Inking the scrunched foil creates a lovely shiny sea. Beautiful coloring of that sweet mermaid. I agree with Sabrina about the liquid pearls. Thanks for playing and treating us to your marvelous card.

These challenges are certainly in your wheelhouse, Polly. Your bg for the sea gal is beautiful and your coloring of her is exceptional. A stunning card.

Stunning result, Polly, what a gorgeous inked and scrunched green bg! You certainly have coloured this sea goddess so beautifully, wow, and I, too, love how well you have used the liquid pearls!
