A little watercolor and Magenta...great way to spend a day. I used Magenta's blossom stamp, and Penny Black verse with watercolor.
I was inspired by the colors in this photoin this week's inspiration challenge catalog Fine Art America.

Another glorious piece of artwork by Lydia--I just went onto your blog to see more details, as I am LOVING this!!! I have a few stamps by Magenta and I do love them, sometimes I forget to play with them, and this is a good reminder, thank you!!!
I particularly love how you have watercolored these glorious blossoms, and I am wondering what you used as a medium for your coloring... I have done almost no watercoloring as a coloring medium except using a little some Twinkling H2O's, and I do have some Zig brush pens... So, I will start with those but was wondering what you use, and what you used to create your spatters, which add such texture and depth to this work, lovely!!!
I also appreciate the bible verse that you have given a place of prominence, and I am not familiar with the Versafine ink you have used, I do have the black and sepia and a few others but not this ink... I am wondering if you hand-wrote or stamped this, thinking stamped but it has a look of hand-lettering which is fantastic. Truly I am in awe of this work, as it not only has great beauty, but you also give prominence to this bible verse which I love.
I live in the same general part of the world as you, in Southern Ontario, and we too are bracing for some very strong winds and generally some blizzard conditions. Be safe, warm, and comfortable are my hopes and my prayers for both of us today. Thank you again for providing such a wonderful work of art--I also love how your background both grounds and adds more depth to your flowers--I always appreciate so much to learn from artists who are a lot more experienced and who have more ability than I have, which is definitely the case with you and your art, Lydia.

They may be apple blossoms but they are spectacular in yellow! I guess you could proclaim them "Yellow Delicious Apple Blossoms" !
I like the depth of color you achieved by adding the pencil over the watercolor and the soft bits of script caught my eye and make beautiful "filler".
