My birth month is August, and my stone is Peridot. Sitting at my desk ... gazing and thinking ... and remembered a tube of glitter from years ago that reminded me of the green/gold sparkle of the peridot. Die cut the leaf, and used 3M spray glue to cover, then dipped in the glitter. Used hairspray to seal once dry. Trying to photograph the shimmer on a dull day isn't easy, but did my best.
Edit: oops, missed the second colour *hangs head*

You caught the glitter just right in the photo! Your card is beautiful and your second color is white! Wouldn't have wanted any other color in this IMHO. Just lovely!

What a gorgeous sympathy card this is Sandie. I love your elegant glittered leaf with simple sentiment to represent peridot. How neat that you are an August baby too. ~Karen.

I was too busy admiring your lovely summery Peridot card to notice you 'neglected' your second color. Sweet to brave the glitter for that pretty branch. I have several shrubs that have that gorgeous hue. You are ever the master of CAS.
I am sharing grey skies over here too...
