I was asked to make a wedding cake shaped card for a friends daughter, I must admit this was a bit tricky, I started with the three layers which I glued onto white card stock, then I've put this on another piece of white card stock and traced around to cut a second part, I made three layers out of silver paper for the back side, used the same paper for the heart, and used silver letters for the names and date.
I tied ribbon around the layers and because this went out quiet big I finished it into a tent card to enforce the bottom so this cake stands up to do this I added a layer on the bottom glued it on both sides and made a fold in the middle to fold this flat, on the top of the cake I've cut an opening to slide the heart in the middle and glued the bride and groom, now I need to make an envelope...wish me luck!!
Just to say this is a photomontage, it's only 1 card wanted to show the fold on the bottom

What a gorgeous wedding cake card, Anita! The lace and pearls add to the elegance of the card. Your friend's daughter should be thrilled with what you have designed!

Anita, you certainly have a knack for folded cards. I believe you must be fearless when it comes to trying (or creating/inventing) something new. I admire you and your creations and look forward to seeing what you've come up with each day.
