I don't have foil or a laminator but the challenge said we could use something comparable and I had a gold card board from underneath a French pastry I recently bought. It was still very clean after I'd eaten the pastry, and too perfect to through away - and perfectly ornament-shaped with the tab at the top! And I think they make them by sticking foil on top of heavy cardboard.
I added a green shimmer holly die cut, two die cut red birds and a sentiment, then embellished with dark red gemstones for the holly berries. I "hung" the ornament with gold cord from the top of the card base.

Gorgeous recycling, Susan. Good creative instincts to see that Christmas ornament in something you bought at French bakery. Love the diecuts that you have put on it to complete the ornament theme.

just beautiful details you added to make it sparkle and Really Wonderful re-use. Thinking maybe you should buy one every week so that you will have 40+ to give away as holiday cards next season. That is what i would do...hahaha... never a pastry i didn't love! ;) Teresa

I used a bakery foil on my card too. I like the part where you said you ate the pastry. Truth be told, I ate mine too, but don't remember what it was as it's from many years ago! You card turned out so pretty and elegant.
