Lisa is our hostess for the WTUI challenge this week - you'll find her challenge HERE. Sorry, site bug means this link won't work for a couple of hours)
This is actually plan B for me, since there was quite a bit of it that I could do in bed last week, definitely not true of plan A.
I tried Lydia's TIssue Paper Collage tutorial some time last year to see whether to feature it as a TLC, and the piece I made was on the big side and still hasn't been made into a card. Learning from that mistake, this piece turned out better.
I gessoed a piece of a dictionary page and then sprinkled Brushos and spritzed them. When dry I stamped the foliage in green ink, and the stems.
I coloured my tissue paper in bed; the two flowers on the left are cut with a rolled flower die, and I just free-handed the one on the right. Once stuck down and dry, the doodling was also a good job for doing in bed .
Stamped and embossed a sentiment, then also added the sentiment from an Art Journey set, stamped twice so that I could cut it up and piece it back onto the card with dotted borders round each word. I added some tiny little bees from a PB clear set, and Stickled their wings. Edged the piece with a gold distress crayon.
I missed the TEXT MIX challenge because I was sick, so this plays catch-up with that since I used a dictionary page for my base, and have gesso, Brushos, distress crayon, gel and micron pens and Sharpies.
Oh, I forgot - before stamping anything else I stamped a fungus border in Versamark and embossed with clear EP, so that's a very faint layer in under everything else.
