I have many Valentines from my Grandpa's collection, plus I saved a few from my fairly immediate past. Before I made cards, I used to buy handmade cards at an art store and I saved some of the fronts. So this card is made of two Valentines, one from Grandpa, one from the past. I need to do something with these so I looked through the posters, searching for hearts and flowers and found this:https://www.allposters.com/-sp/A-Flo...figID=14258395
I love the heart of embroidered flowers. The sentiment in the center of Grandpa's card wasn't appropriate (I Love My Love) so I covered it with a handmade paper/metallic heart one. Rather therapeutic and now I can use them for special people.

This has a wonderful antique quality with your recycled elements and the creative way you combined everything. The metal pieces look so pretty, and I love the embroidered flowers.

How wonderful to have your grandpa's valentines and others you had collected and could make this pretty card. The flowers are beautiful.

How lovely, Jean! I love that you upcycled/recycled cards to get here. I have a bunch I need to go thru just for that same purpose. If I can only find them. I put them somewhere safe when me moved, & now I can't remember where that is!
