I really wanted to participate in the Featured Stamper Challenge for Victoria/Hawaiian, but was unable to at the time, so I am entering my cards late. This worked out rather well for me because I really want to build up my stash of Christmas cards for next Christmas and when I saw this beauty in Victoria's beautiful gallery, I just had to make a few cards using this overall design: Hawaiian_ Merry Christmas Gold by Hawaiian at Splitcoaststampers. To make the snowflake, I took Kromekote paper, sprinkled ultramarine blue color burst powder over the paper, then spritzed it with water. I set this piece aside to dry while working on the rest of the card. Once the piece was dry, then I die cut the large snowflake from it. There are lots of colors to this snowflake in real life that the camera simply cannot pick up, unfortunately. Victoria, I want you to know I so enjoyed going through your gorgeous gallery and I have bookmarked several items as Favorites too. I had so much fun making this card and it never would have been made had it not been for your gorgeous Christmas card that inspired me. Love and hugs sis! ~Karen.

A stunning card in blue! The silver foil ties in so nicely with the middle silver snowflake. You have made an incredible card here, Karen. Love the ribbon treatment too. Thanks for the details re the color burst. You are such a good teacher, and I am sure I am not the only one who appreciates your sharing of your talents.
