Good evening! I set out to make this before challenge card from this week, but the color challenge eventually was thrown out as I worked on coloring in my cacti. :-)
For CAS517:
C: cacti
O: oval
L: love/layers/lattice
D: desert - cacti grow in the desert!
(On a side note, we are definitely cold in Minnesota... I think the 30 below temperatures each morning that we've had this past week and we'll have through Wednesday - honest! - made me extra interested in playing with a stamp set that dealt with warmer weather! I'm not complaining, I love Minnesota and I love our winters, but when it's this cold it's kind of hard to be outside and enjoy any of it! So, I stand by the window, look out at the pretty, sparky snow, and craft! Hahaha)
I was particularly intrigued to try the sketch this week as I don't typically do well with a lot of little images, but I was so inspired by other cards that made the gallery this week! And I ended up having a lot of fun with this sketch, using panel 4 as the shelf for my cacti!
And finally, the free-for-all challenge... Now honestly, I made it all the way to putting this car together before I realized that the tall cacti actually have sort of heart shaped flowers on them. :( Alas, I'm going to still throw my hat into that ring as you all are forgiving and I think you realize it was an honest mistake to discover my no-heart love card indeed ended up with a heart (ok, two hearts) on it!
This card is one of two I created at the same time, changing up a few elements. Please see my gallery for the other design!
Thanks so much for looking and I pray you all have a great week!
