That 70's Card

Did anyone have grass cloth for wallpaper in the 70's? I did and I still love it; I used it on my card. Today's card is for Susan, our FS of the week. Wow and wow. Keep posting, Susan, I love your variety. This is what inspired me: Stenciled Sunshine by LoveRibbons at Splitcoaststampers

I was a senior in hs when the first Earth Day happened and I'm thinking that the 70's was the first decade to use the word 'spice' as a color, not a flavoring. Maybe not, but I remember all the earth tones, the natural textures. Heck my daughter and her friends are doing macrame. I wish I still had my white macrame belt, my daughter could wear it. On the other hand, the only thing I can fit into are earrings and scarves.

What a lovely inspired card! love the texture the grass cloth gives to your design - I've seen it in places like doctors offices but never had any in my home! Beautiful colors and die cut florals on this!

How lovely, Jean! Love all your 70's references. Nope..no grasscloth & no macrame. But if you hum a few bars.... they say everything old is new again. As a kid, I do remember my mom having mustard (she said "harvest gold") colored appliances. That was big, I remember. Mustard, avocado & wallpaper I hope to never see again, lol.

PS, I did live in a house that had that grass cloth wallpaper. It was a house that had once been a total showcase but needed a complete redo - I use to sit and imagine how awesome it had been. It is on a come back now right?

We did use the same inspiration. I love the trim on the bottom of your card. That added a nice touch.
