I liked the teal/aqua color in this birdhouse here, and liked the bit of yellow for contrast, but decided to go gold instead.
I had a tissue paper bg that I had made a while back using Loll Thompson's technique for tissue paper watercoloring with the added step of embossing the ridges with gold ep. You can see her video , and the part about the added embossing comes in the second half. Loll makes fabulous videos if you like exploring new techniques.
Die cut the bird from the tissue paper bg (with gold embossing) and the branch from gold shimmer cs. Stamped the sentiment, adhered bird and branch, splattered some gold color shine, and matted the panel in gold cs. In hindsight I wished I had embossed the sentiment in gold too â oh, well!

Oh wow Miss Maura, this gorgeous creation is safely tucked away in My Favs for next week. Thanks for the link to Loll's technique, I had forgotten how beautiful the technique is. You never fail to inspire me.
