hi there,
Here is my card for the WT today; I Hereby Resolve.
Sabrina has asked us about some resolutions we have made for the New Year. I don't really make them but I am always keen to find new techniques especially ones that work for a clean and simple look.
This is one I just found the other day; faux shiplap.
Super easy to do and I used it as my bkg. for the snowflakes. Score you paper, then keeping your ink pad flat, run it over the scored lines.
thanks for looking. https://snippets-karen.blogspot.com/...nowflakes

Great effect, Karen. I'm not very good at keeping my inkpads flat, but since I do like making faux wood with direct to paper, I'll add this to my list of things to try. Love the snowflakes and swirls framing the sentiment.

Before I read your description, I thought the background was paper and I thought your resolution was going to be to use up your paper stash. I love your background techniques so much that I was going to suggest that you forget about the paper! LOL! Instead, you give me another background technique to use...THANKS!
