My final layer for Ky's A Layer a Day Mix challenge.
Day 1. Gesso, then layered TH Crazing gel on top. White on white, no cracks and boring!!! Brushed purple and green Distress ink over Shatter stencil. Dried then brushed darker inks to bring out the cracks.
Day 2. The green/purple color scheme remind me of a garden and the shatter looks like a spider web, going for a garden theme. Stamped sentiments on deli paper, adhered to panel.
Day 3. Stamped lilacs, spider, butterflies, leaves and branches. Dabbed Liquid Pearl on lilacs and spider, rubbed copper metallic wax on butterflies and text, painted green stained lass paint on leaves.
Day 4. Added shadow below leaves and branches with graphite pencil. Adhered spiderweb washi tape around panel.
Had lots of fun creating my journal page.

Fabulous!!! I especially love the spider and web - I think web-spinning spiders are the most amazing creatures. My kids always laugh at me whenever there's a spider lurking about making a web because I won't let them "destroy" it or the web.

This is so beautiful! I saw it this morning but wanted to wait till I could see it on a larger screen. All those details to look at and discover. Into my favourites so I can come back and look again. I love the warmth and glow of the colours, and the feeling of sunlight in a dewy garden.
