I enjoyed Dini's video on the Stacked Stencils and thanks Judy for bringing us this technique this week. I definitely be using it again to create interesting backgrounds. I am also entering this in the CAS Divisional Rounds challenge.
I used a The Crafters Warehouse Balzer design stencil for my large pattern. It is asymmetrical
circles with a bold line separating them. The random dots is an unmarked stencil. I used three shades of Ranger TH do. It was so fun to see the look once I was finished. I tried to use a light hand so there would be a variation.
The fun, fun, fun waiters hand and tray is by Judikins. It was stamped and embossed. The tray is embossed in silver. I added a watercolored heart from a Martha punch for a cuff link. The Red Velvet cake (Impression Obsession) was colored with Copics. Love that fancy little ruffled napkin.
The Seize the Cake sentiment is an unknown wood stamp. And finally the postmark...Purple Onion Designs...love this set.
Thanks for stopping by today...please let me know what your favorite cake is. Mine is Coconut with 7 minute Icing and of course, fresh grated coconut. Like father, like daughter...more for us both...

Super creation, Susan. I love that heart cuff link and your wonderful background. I guess coconut is high on the list of my faves. I have a graham cracker cake recipe I love. Oh, they're all good!!! Yes, that is a fancy napkin and very pretty.

What a gorgeous piece of cake Susan and I like the waiters hand also!! I'm not the hugest cake eater, but I do like the frosting. I remember my sister and I use to fight over the left over frosting. :>)

LOVE your combination of stencils, Susan. In my mind, that was the most difficult part of the challenge. Your vintage cake image is fabulous as the foreground interest.

You got my vote, Susan! If I see cake, I'm definitely seizing it! Your stenciling is so pretty & I love that butler arm w/ the cake. On second thought, I'll just take the butler. How great would that be?

NOW who has stamp envy! I crave every one of these and wouldn't mind a bite of that yummy, outstanding 3-D concoction either! Fantastic pairing of stencils, complementary swirly designs and celebratory bling!

oh my, that stamp and how you used it might make me like cake a bit more...yes, it is true, i'm not a cake person. I LOVE PIE, just like my Dad. But it I had to choose a cake, it would be angel food. That's what my mom made me most birthdays. super duper fun card!
